We are appointed with all of the major carriers. We can help you find the right plan that balances your needs and budget.
The Marketplace is a federal program designed to help individuals and families afford health insurance by offering major medical plans by private insurance companies. It was created with the passage of the Affordable Care Act and is often referred to as ACA plans, Healthcare.gov, Obamacare Plans, or On-Exchange Plans. Your annual wellness exams are at no cost to you, all pre-existing conditions are covered and you don’t have to worry about being turned down.
Open Enrollment is offered once a year. Generally it has been Nov. 1st–Dec. 15th, but you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) that may be available throughout the year. Contact us to see if you are eligible.
Many individuals and families qualify for reduced premiums and lower out of pocket costs. Avoid common mistakes and let our expert advisors walk you through the eligibility process to see how you might qualify. We know the why behind the questions being asked.
Individual Market “Off Exchange” Plans
Individuals and Families making too much income to qualify for the Marketplace Plans with a reduced rate may want to shop with us “Off Exchange”. Many of the carriers offer additional plan choices that the consumer cannot view when looking at Marketplace plans, and often at a reduced premium. Ask one of our expert agents to get you Off-Exchange quotes so you can compare.
Short Term Plans
If you only need a plan for a short-time while you are a student, in-between jobs, or during a new hire waiting period and cannot afford a Marketplace Plan, you may want to consider a short-term plan. Short-term health insurance is major medical coverage. The plans are not ACA qualified, may require some underwriting, and do not cover pre-existing conditions. But short-term plans do accept applications year-round, are much more affordable (if you do not qualify for a Marketplace subsidy), and they can help offset costs if you have a medical emergency, injury, or sickness unrelated to a preexisting condition.
