Part B premiums
As part of a short-term funding bill passed by the Senate, increases to Medicare Part B premiums will be capped at 25% of what it otherwise would have been for 2021.
What It Means For You
Savings. Although we do not yet have an exact premium amount for 2021, the Senior Citizens League, an advocacy group, is estimating the increase to be 1.3% instead of the previously expected 6%. Exact premium amounts are expected to be released sometime in November.
Savings for Diabetics
The Part D Senior Savings Model provides affordable insulin. We all know what a difficult problem this has been. Participating plans will offer insulin for a maximum copay of $35 for a 30-day supply of certain brands of insulin starting in 2021.

Plans That Offer Telehealth Benefits Are Increasing
In 2020, roughly 58% of plans offered telehealth benefits. 2021 will see an increase in that number to over 94% of plans offering telehealth.
